The year 1944 and its aftermath 

Call for Papers:

Interdisciplinary Research Seminar
“Moldova as a Region and a Republic: History, Present and Future”

Chișinău (Republic of Moldova), November 11, 2025

This seminar is part of the Moldova International Forum, which takes place November 11-13, 2025.

Objectives
The seminar is addressed to early career researchers (PhD students and postdocs) in the fields of humanities and cultural sciences, studying the historical region of Moldova and/or the Republic of Moldova. The aims of the seminars are:

  1. thematic and methodological interdisciplinary discussions between participants and invited experts;
  2. the creation a professional network of young scholars from Moldova, Germany and other countries;
  3. a short presentation of research projects and associated discussions;
  4. The publication of the projects on the website of the International Forum Moldova, with the possibility of a subsequent publication in academic journals.
